Take a journey across the flood. The "flood" was the name given to the oceans by the ancient Greeks as they were so dangerous to cross a couple thousand years ago and this is the word used in Homer’s The Odyssey.
This journey is our own personal journey and so it is secret and within us. It appears we may be following the raven but where is it leading us, to our doom or our salvation? 'Omens', an instrumental, opens the album but what type of omens are they? Questions and more questions appear as we continue onward from the first album. The themes stay the same but we move ever more deeper into them.
“Not all stories have happy endings”, and that is exactly what happens here as SOS is literally a nautical distress call for help. It could mean “save our souls” or “save our ship” as some think. The raven sits behind us, next to our beached boat, and sits atop a globe or crystal ball that looks very similar to the thumbnail for the 'Nevermore (Midnight Mix)' single from the previous album. Not a good omen. No, no not at all. Next to that is another crystal ball that looks into the future.
