This album tackles the problem with knowing who to trust in your life. In the twilight as the sun lowers and darkness fills the world there is a time where you can't tell the wolves from the dogs in the mist. The wolves, your enemies and those that will hurt you. The dogs, your friends and those that can be trusted. This concept can apply to your personal life, even to yourself, and to the public and nation. The album has 10 original songs, 2 alternate versions of songs (one from our debut album), and 4 songs that have the rap in Brazilian Portuguese. This album has a more unified sound compared to the first three but there is plenty more music on the way, let's see where it takes us!
A young child looks into a dangerous looking forest where animals and trees blend together while surrounding the only path forward. Is it his imagination or reality? That's the question. He is alone and must decide how to proceed, facing the consequences of his choices just as we all must in life.
The first three albums we released followed us on a journey as we searched for our sound and as we experimented with styles ranging from rock to metal and rap to alt metal. You'll find acoustic guitars, ambient keyboards, cover songs of classic rock tunes and even a song that features a piano that has became very popular (Salt of Sorrow). We hope you enjoy the journey as much as we have and continue with us into the future.
Begin at the beginning, the start of it all, and take a journey across the flood.
The "flood" was the name given to the oceans by the ancient Greeks as they were so dangerous to cross a couple thousand years ago and this is the word used in original Homer’s The Odyssey. We start out knowing the path will not be easy and we wrestle with the notions of being lost, dealing with desires, doubts and regrets all while pushing through our fears.
A lone figure stands in a boat on rough waters in a harbor.
The story from the first album continues with plenty of classic cover songs, guest singers and alternate versions of a few songs off the debut album.
This journey is our own personal journey and so it is secret and within us. It appears we may be following the raven but where is it leading us, to our doom or our salvation? 'Omens', an instrumental, opens the album but what type of omens are they? Questions and more questions appear as we continue onward from the first album. The themes stay the same but we move ever more deeper into them.
A lone figure stands facing us. Yet this time the details are clear as the journey becomes more in focus. It's a temporary respite, a quiet stop, before we continue.
“Not all stories have happy endings...”
The third album takes the themes from the first two albums and brings them to a close. It has been a difficult journey and things did not end well. At least for the time being.
SOS is literally a nautical distress call for help. It could mean “save our souls” or “save our ship” as some think.
A few more classic cover songs express the pain of loss, of biting nostalgia and the hot tears of separation. Yet, this has been the journey and it's time to move on.
The lone figure is again not clear as he stands and looks out across the ocean from whilst he came. Reflecting on all the trials and tribulations of that journey while stuck in the present.
The raven sits behind us, next to our beached boat, and sits atop a globe or crystal ball that looks very similar to the thumbnail for the 'Nevermore (Midnight Mix)' single from the previous album. Not a good omen. No, no, not at all. Next to that is another crystal ball that looks into the future (the next album cover). This part of the journey has concluded.
